چکیده

Congestion on the roads is a key problem to deal with, which wastes valuable time.. Due to high mobility rate and relative speed link failure occur very often. VANET is used to tackle the problem of congestion, and make decisions well in advance to avoid traffic congestion. In this paper we proposed a solution to detect and control the traffic congestion by using of both (V2V) and (V2I), as a result the drivers become aware of the location of congestion as well as way to avoid getting stuck in congestion. The congestion is detected by analyzing the data obtained by vehicular communication and road side units to avoid the traffic. Our proposition system is competent of detecting and controlling traffic congestion in real-time. V2V and V2I communication network is used to receive and send the messages. We simulate the result by using Congestion Detection and Control Algorithm (CDCA), and show that this is one effective way to control congestion. The Proposed methodology ensures reliable and timely delivery of messages to know about congestion and avoid it. KEYWORD: CDCA ALGORITHM, INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM (ITS), VANET, V2I, V2V.

Comparative Analysis of Various Mobility Generators Techniques in VANETs

Since the last few years VANET have received increased attention as the potential technology to enhance active and preventive safety on the road, as well as travel comfort. One of the main challenges in Vehicular ad hoc network is of searching and maintaining an effective route for transporting data information. Researchers and developers have built VANET simulation software to allow the study ...

A Move toward Fast and Consistent Broadcast of Safety Messages in VANETs

Vehicular AdhocNETworks (VANETs) relies on continuous data exchange among vehicles and vehicles to roadside units (RSU) to aid road safety, route planning, etc. A transition from free flow to congested traffic on highways often spontaneously originates, despite the fact that the road could satisfy a higher traffic demand. The reasons for such a traffic breakdown are perturbations caused by huma...

Cluster Based Message Dissemination for Broadcasting the Emergency/Warning Messages using a Novel Scheduling in VANETS

Vehicular ad hoc networks are a special case of mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). Unlike MANETs, VANET nodes are moving very fast. It becomes quite challenging to maintain a stable path for broadcasting Emergency and Warning (E/ W) messages from a risk zone. So routing takes an important role in VANETs. Reducing network overhead, avoiding network congestion, traffic congestion and increasing pac...

Quantitative Modelling and Automated Analysis of a Cooperative Congestion Control Protocol for Dynamic Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks

Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) are critical, self-configurable wireless networks for communication among vehicles and between vehicles and roadside equipment. VANET communication protocols must ensure safe and efficient communication among all network nodes within the signal range, in the context of high node mobility and rapidly changing network topology. In this paper we carry out a forma...

Traffic Congestion Detection and Management Using Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) In India

India is a nation which has the one of the largest NonLane based road network in the world. Many developed nations today use Intelligent Transportation system (ITS) to solve traffic related problems and provide smooth and safe ride on roads. The road traffic congestions are recurring problem in India. One of the major reasons that lead to traffic congestion is the poor infrastructure and attitu...
